What's new at Expansive this month?

This month, we've focussed on improving our AI offering with our new AI remedial extraction tool, alongside some contractor improvements.

Smarter Contractor Management, Onboarding, and Compliance 🚀

We’ve introduced a powerful set of updates across contractor management, onboarding, and compliance workflows. These improvements make it easier for contractors to keep their details accurate, for admins to stay on top of requests, and for everyone to work more efficiently with less friction.

Contractor Profile Amendments 🔧

Keeping contractor data current is essential for compliance and operational efficiency. With our latest update, contractor admins can now request profile changes even after onboarding and approval. Some fields update instantly, while others go through an additional approval step, ensuring that accuracy is maintained without slowing down day-to-day workflows.

Admins can now manage these updates more efficiently too. Pending changes can be easily tracked through new filters on the contractor index, or reviewed directly from the contractor view page. A newly introduced Activity tab offers full visibility of all profile amendments, showing a detailed timeline of what’s been changed, who made the change, and whether it was approved or rejected.

To keep everyone aligned, we’ve added automated notifications that enhance communication between admins and contractors. Admins receive alerts whenever a change is requested, while contractors are notified as soon as their updates are approved or rejected - creating a clear, two-way feedback loop that keeps data consistent and processes transparent.

Contractor Invitation Improvements 👥

Inviting contractors has never been easier. Admins can now add multiple recipients to a single invite, so several contacts receive a magic link to set up their contractor profile.

For bulk invitations, the contractor CSV now supports an Additional Recipients column with comma-separated emails - making contractor onboarding at scale more efficient.

Quote-Only Contractor Onboarding 💰

Not all contractors provide ongoing services - some only submit quotes. To support this, the services section of contractor profiles is now optional. Contractors can select whether they offer services or not, allowing quote-only contractors to complete onboarding without unnecessary steps.

Contractor Reminder Emails 📆

To keep onboarding moving smoothly, we’ve introduced automated contractor reminder emails. Admins can now configure recurring reminders for:

• Contractors who have registered but haven’t completed their profile.

• Contractors who haven’t yet activated their account via the magic link.

This onboarding automation reduces manual chasing and keeps contractors engaged without extra admin effort.

Improved Compliance Workflow with AI Assistance 🤖

Our compliance management tools just got smarter with AI-powered workflows.

From the compliance document index, users can now triage remedial actions, update statuses, and review submissions alongside their summaries - without clicking into each individual record.

Even more powerful is AI remedial action extraction. For documents marked as failed or passed with recommendations, the system extracts remedial actions and assigns priorities. 

Smarter Work Order Linking 🔗

We’ve enhanced work order management by making it easier to link related work orders.

• Choose a link type from a dropdown, including the new “Relates To” option.

• Search work orders quickly by number, or summary.

• Enjoy a cleaner, more intuitive interface with streamlined cards that give you a clear snapshot of linked work orders.

On desktop, linked work orders now appear directly under the summary, while on mobile they’re displayed in a dedicated tab for faster navigation.
