As operations scale across sites, contractors, and regions, even small inefficiencies in billing, workflows, and user experience can quickly add up.

In Product Release 3.57, we’ve focused on making the platform more adaptable and easier to use at scale, with improvements to invoicing flexibility, localisation, engineer workflows, and cost management.

Here’s what’s new...

More Flexible Consolidated Invoice Cycling

Managing invoice cycles across different clients, contracts, and financial structures can be restrictive if the system doesn’t align with how your business actually operates.

In this release, we’ve enhanced consolidated cycling invoicing to give you more control and flexibility.

You can now choose from a wider range of invoicing cycles, including:

  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Last day of the month
  • Financial period
  • A configurable time before the financial period ends

Users with the appropriate permissions can manage these cycles directly within a dedicated area in Settings.

Why this matters: Billing cycles can now align more closely with your financial processes, rather than forcing workarounds.

Result: Greater control over invoicing and smoother alignment with internal and client billing requirements.

Improved Translations and Localisation

As teams operate across different regions, consistency in language and localisation becomes critical for usability and adoption.

This release introduces several improvements to translations and localisation across the platform.

Improved Translation Accuracy

Static translations have been implemented to improve consistency across the platform.

Multi-Language Settings

Admin users can now configure translations for key custom fields, including:

  • Asset categories
  • Cost codes
  • Site types
  • Navigation items
  • Service types
  • Work order types
  • Document types
  • Building types

Translations can be populated using AI or imported/exported in bulk.

User Language Preferences

Users can now:

  • Set a preferred language
  • Define a locale within their profile

This ensures a more personalised and regionally appropriate experience.

Why this matters: A more localised platform improves usability for global teams and reduces friction in day-to-day workflows.

Result: A more consistent, accessible experience across regions and user groups.

Engineer App Enhancements

We’ve introduced several updates to improve control, usability, and consistency within the engineer app.

Work Order Sign-Off

A new feature flag allows you to require contractor sign-off before a work order can be closed.

When enabled:

  • Users must enter an access code to check out of a work order

Feature Flag Improvements

Check-in and check-out feature flags have been consolidated into a single Settings area, allowing users to select preferred configurations more easily.

Locale Awareness

The app now supports locale-aware formatting, meaning:

  • Currency and date formats automatically adjust based on the user’s locale

Why this matters: These updates improve accountability, simplify configuration, and create a more intuitive experience for engineers on site.

Result: Better control over work completion and a more consistent mobile experience.

Streamlined Parts Costing

Managing parts within cost lines can be time-consuming, especially when information needs to be entered manually or repeatedly.

We’ve improved the parts area to make costing faster and more consistent.

You can now:

  • Mark parts as available for costing within Settings
  • Search and select from pre-approved parts when adding cost lines (based on site and contractor availability)

When selecting a part, the system will automatically populate:

  • Description
  • Price
  • Tax rate

Users still have the flexibility to add custom parts where needed.

Why this matters: Reduces manual data entry while maintaining flexibility for real-world scenarios.

Result: Faster cost entry and more consistent, accurate data across jobs.

General Platform Improvements

We’ve also introduced a number of enhancements across the platform to improve usability and reduce administrative effort.

-

Permissions

A new permission allows internal operatives to upload files to work orders without requiring full work order management access.

Why this matters: Teams can collaborate more easily without overextending permissions.

Result: Greater flexibility while maintaining control over access levels.

-

Service Request Filtering

The service requests index now includes enhanced filtering, allowing users to distinguish between:

  • Planned work
  • Reactive work

Why this matters: Makes it easier to navigate and manage different types of work.

Result: Faster access to the information you need.

-

Imports and Exports

We’ve improved performance for both imports and exports and introduced:

  • A dedicated management area in Settings for imports
  • A full export history view

Why this matters: Greater visibility and reliability when managing large data sets.

Result: More confidence when importing, exporting, and auditing data.

-

Quote Request Improvements

We’ve introduced several enhancements to make quote requests more controlled and easier to manage.

Smarter Due Date Controls

  • Prevents selecting past dates
  • Warns when selecting same-day due dates
  • Applies role-based restrictions for short deadlines

Improved Remedial Actions Workflow

  • Users can now create a single linked work order
  • Multiple remedial actions can be attached to it
  • Removes the need to create individual work orders

Streamlined Quote Requests from Remedials

  • Users can indicate a quote is required when raising remedials
  • A quote request modal is automatically triggered
  • Users can review and edit details before submission

Why this matters: Reduces manual steps and improves control when progressing remedial work into actionable quotes.

Result: Faster workflows and fewer steps from issue identification to resolution.

That’s Everything for March

This release focuses on giving teams more flexibility, better localisation, and smoother workflows, while reducing the manual effort required to manage costs, contractors, and operations at scale.
