What's new at Expansive this month?
This month we're excited to announce a suite of new features designed to streamline your workflows, improve asset management, and provide greater financial visibility.
Asset Handling: A New Era of Accuracy 🗳️
We're thrilled to introduce a game-changing feature that empowers contractors to directly input accurate asset service details right on work orders. Contractors can now make informed recommendations about asset status, condition, and other relevant characteristics, which are then submitted for review by internal users. This collaborative approach ensures that asset registers remain up-to-date and reliable.
To access these new features, simply navigate to the Assets tab within the relevant work order or the Work Orders tab on the asset itself. You'll find the option to add or review service details, making it easy to maintain accurate asset information.
Additionally, you can now view approved spend against an asset directly on the Work Orders tab. This spend is seamlessly integrated into the asset lifecycle chart, providing a clear visual representation of the asset's spending history. Within the Lifecycle tab, you'll find the updated Spend To Date and Spend Against Costs totals, enabling you to make informed decisions about asset maintenance and replacement.
Uncaptured Spend: Gain Full Financial Visibility 📈
We understand that not all expenses are directly tied to work orders. That's why we've introduced a new dedicated Settings area for Uncaptured Spends. Here, you can easily add ad-hoc expenses, link them to specific assets, and assign relevant budget or cost codes. By capturing these uncaptured spends, you'll gain a more comprehensive view of your overall asset costs and budget utilisation.
Planned Work Scheduling: Enhanced Flexibility and Control 📅
Our latest updates to Planned Work Scheduling empower you to create even more efficient and tailored work plans. Now, you can set weekly scheduled templates to generate work orders on specific days, allowing you to better align your schedules with site closures and other operational considerations. This helps to reduce abandoned work orders and optimise resource allocation.
We've also introduced improved template permissions to provide greater flexibility and control. Users can now be granted 'view' permissions to access planned work templates and their schedules, without requiring full 'manage' permissions. Additionally, you can assign specific users the ability to amend planned work schedules while maintaining control over the underlying templates.
