What's new at Expansive this month?

This month, we're excited to introduce our new AI quote extractor and analysis tooling alongside some general platform improvements.

Introducing AI-Powered Quoting & Smarter Contractor Management

📨 AI Quote Extractor

We’re taking automation to the next level with our new AI Quote Extractor. You can now upload a PDF file and the system will automatically generate a structured contractor quote. Using intelligent parsing, the AI extracts key information like cost breakdowns and timelines to build a complete quote without the manual entry.

This feature drastically reduces onboarding time for new quotes, improves accuracy, and ensures consistency across the board. Whether you're handling a high volume of quotes or simply want a faster, cleaner process, this is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for.

🔬 AI Quote Analysis

We've also introduced an AI-powered quote review experience built right into the platform. Now, when a quote is submitted, our AI engine can benchmark the quote against past data. From here, where appropriate, the system will flag key points or red flags—like excessive markups or questionable line items—so you can make informed decisions faster.

You’ll get insight into how the quoted price and timeframes compare to similar jobs, and be alerted to anything that looks unusual.

👷 Simplified Contractor Management

Keeping your contractor list accurate just got easier. You can now revoke contractor invitations directly from the Invited tab. Whether you’re cleaning up duplicate invites or removing ones sent in error, this enhancement streamlines onboarding and helps maintain a clean contractor database with less administrative effort.

✏️ Bulk Abandon Work Orders

Work order management is now more powerful thanks to our upgraded bulk action capabilities. Users with the new permission can now abandon multiple work orders in one go. During this process, a required reason ensures traceability, while each work order is automatically updated with the appropriate cancelled status.

The system also retires associated SLA logs and moves the jobs to a non-billable status—making sure records stay clean and consistent.

💬 Clearer Request Messaging

We’ve improved the communication flow between your team and contractors. Service request emails now include the original request message, giving contractors all the context they need before deciding whether to accept the work.

In addition, the activity log on work orders now shows the service request message as part of the status change history. This gives contractors full visibility into the job context throughout its lifecycle, reducing confusion and improving response accuracy.

That's it for this month! Be sure to stay tuned for more updates to come.
